Systemic Psychotherapy

I offer this to families, couples (if they prefer traditional couples therapy) and individuals.    The essence of systemic therapy is that we understand ourselves through our relationships with others in the context of our families, friends, work colleagues etc.   When difficulties arise, exploring our relationships may help us identify how we are influencing and being influenced by the difficulties, and can then make changes in our behaviours with a view to improving our lives.

Systemic therapy has traditionally been delivered by teams of practitioners who meet together with the family, couple or client, listen while one of the team interviews the client, then share ideas as a team in front of the client.   This approach offers different possibilities for the client, no one idea being more or less important than another.   I see most people on my own at The Surrey Centre but also co-work with the Lantern Family Centre in Great Bookham.

Sessions are 1.5 hours for families and couples, and 50 minutes for individuals.   Family and couple sessions cost £160.00.   Individual sessions cost £100.00.
